The Bridge Lab

Founding Director, 2014-2016

Created with the intent of “bridging the gap” between academic and professional applications, The Bridge Lab was inaugurated by the Jackson School Ph.D. program in spring 2014. It aims to train young scholars to make their research relevant to the real world, and to think about meaningful ways to get their expertise heard in the policy, business, or non-profit realms. Students learn to  communicate their "problem-focused" research t0 audiences beyond academia as an integral part of their doctoral training, and thereby develop an  important skill set of direct use in the real world.
